For a change I am about to share a project which I didn’t see first on Pinterest. I saw this on Elise’s blog, which I follow and lurrrve! As you might have guessed by post title it is Pinwheel waiting.
I had an old canvas (size A4) which I had painted abstractly and it was so horrible that it never made it to the blog, so instead of throwing it I decided to reuse it – just gave it two coats of white to hide my previous awful art. To be honest in this project every mm of the canvas would be covered in bright, thick coats of multiple colours so the canvas I had was perfect.
I marked the centre (wondering how do you do that? – it is intersection of diagonals) and then I used tape to create triangles, painting one at a time so their points all matched up at the centre. I had no plan and didn’t know which colours I would be using which added to the fun. I am very pleased with how it turned out . If I do something like this again, only thing I would change is probably decrease the angle (meeting at centre) so there could be more colours!
