Create A Vision For Yourself
Don’t just set goals for your work. Frame your goals in such a way that it highlights what you will gain out of the work you do. Focus on what really matters to you.
For example, If I complete a particular project, I may
1. Make some money
2. Impress my boss
3. Keep my job
Or
1. I may buy a new car from the money I make(& save)
2. I may buy a new mobile for my brother
3. Showcase my talent so my boss chooses me for a bigger project
4. Use the experience from this work for a personal project
5. Explore what I am passionate about
You will be more productive if you focus on long-term goals rather than short-term ones.

Create A Comfortable Environment
Another thing you can do to boost your productivity at work is make your work place as comfortable as possible.
You can do this by investing in luxury executive desks or decorating your existing desk with some artificial flowers, diffusing essential oils or just keeping your table neat and clean. Avoid keeping papers on your work desk. Use drawers or a shelf instead. By doing so, you won't panic the moment you get into your office.
You will have some time to relax, take some deep breaths and get to your work when you are ready.

Meditate
Meditation has been proven to help people relax and manage stress. Before you enter your office, take some time to listen to a short guided meditation online. Or, you can guide yourself through a meditative journey.
It will not take more than a few minutes to do that. But, a simple act of meditating for 15 minutes before you go to work can significantly improve your productivity.

Reward Yourself
You could also create a reward system to reward yourself after reaching certain milestones in your work. For example, promise your kids new toys when you complete a particular project. Announce your plans to make it official.
This will help you stay focussed and committed to your work.
Make things more exciting than they are
Imagine a little girl playing with a doll. She wants to dress up the barbie. What happens after she does that?
Nothing! She still finds it all the more exciting to dress up her doll over and over. How can you mimic that? How can you make your boring work sound exciting?
This is something that we all can do very easily. Think of something you love and merge that concept with your boring work and create new terminologies.
Ofcourse, people who are not imaginative may have a hard time doing that. But, those people may not find their work boring. We do though, right?
What can you do right now to make your work exciting? Why not try?
