Wander - Course Review

I cannot express enough how much the Wander E-Course has transformed my life.
Wander course was the catalyst in changing my mindset on self-dicovery through photowalks.

I have been long time subscriber of Vivienne email newsletter, I love her writing style and way she explains things. This was the first time, I joined one of her courses.

With the course, the magic of photowalks entered my life. I got myself a Fitbit Charge and decided to go explore my neighborhood starting with 5-10 minutes each day.

Beyond the captivating images you capture, a photowalk offers a deeper sense of purpose to your wandering. It becomes a reason to engage with the world around you, a practice of seeing the world with newfound curiosity. While this course isn't exclusively about body acceptance or selfies, it delves into the therapeutic aspect of photowalking, using it as a healing modality. I started seeing beauty in unconventional things - a butterfly, a rain puddle, a pile of leaves, shapes of rocks, my step as I was walking etc.  - you get the idea.

This course is a treasure trove of activities that ground you, connect you to yourself, explore embodiment, and leave you feeling nourished. The prompts are powerful yet simple, inviting you to go on a walk each week and explore the activity at hand.

I learnt to slow down, savor life, and started seeing the world through a different lens. Over the 8-week journey, you receive weekly prompts to delve into, and you can do the activities at your own pace.

In essence, a photowalk is about you and your camera, be it a high-end device or simply your smartphone, venturing into the world around you. It doesn't demand an exotic location or grand landscapes. Instead, it encourages you to explore your everyday surroundings with fresh eyes and a curious heart. It's a practice that reminds us that beauty is everywhere; we just need to slow down and bear witness to it.

If selfies are the medium and body acceptance the goal, then photowalks are the practice. They invite you to slow down, connect with yourself, and explore the world around you, both externally and internally. These walks become vessels for self-discovery, allowing you to dive into your inner responses.

If you're still on the fence about joining, let me assure you that it's not just about the photos you come home with; it's about the experience of going on the photowalk itself. Whatever photos you end up with will be wonderful, but the true magic lies in letting go of expectations and wandering in wonder.

The Wander E-Course is a journey of self-discovery, self-love, self-expression through mindfullness - I highly recommend it to anyone looking to reconnect with themselves and the world around them. It's a course that has the power to change lives, just as it did mine.
